Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach out to me at kneadheaven@gmail.com or (209)505-9205 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissues—muscles, tendons, and ligaments—to improve health and well-being, reduce tension, and relieve pain.

You’ll be asked about your health history, areas of tension or pain, and massage preferences. You'll then undress to your comfort level (most people wear underwear), lie on the massage table, and be covered with a sheet. The therapist only uncovers the part of the body being worked on.

Massages can help reduce stress, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and pain, and promote relaxation and overall well-being.

We offer 30-minute, 60-minute, 90-minute, and 120-minute massage sessions. The length of your session will depend on your individual needs and preferences.

You should wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to remove, such as loose-fitting pants or shorts and a t-shirt. You'll be asked to undress to your comfort level before laying down on the massage table.

It shouldn’t be painful. Some discomfort may occur during deep tissue or trigger point work, especially if muscles are tight, but it should always be within your tolerance. Let your therapist know if pressure is too much.

It depends on your needs. For stress relief or general wellness, once a month is common. For chronic pain or injury recovery, weekly or biweekly sessions may be recommended initially.

Yes, if you want to. Some people find conversation relaxing; others prefer silence. It’s your session, so do what makes you comfortable. Communication about pressure or discomfort is always encouraged.

Yes. Avoid massage if you have a fever, contagious illness, open wounds, or certain medical conditions. Always consult with your doctor and inform your therapist of any health concerns.

Drink water, rest, and avoid intense physical activity. This helps your body recover and maximize the benefits.
